I am not even expecting my husband to come as the last appointment was a waste of time and he has already wasted two days with wasted appointments. But I am sure my friend will come with me.
I am more nervous about this work appointment on Friday Marks told me not to go but I think it will cause serious problems if I dont go. I am not sure if I should ring the union or not
I am having a problem eating  if I sit at the table I cant get comfy and my back aches all night. If I eat off my lap my stomach is in the way
Again Good luck tomorrow Kim and let us know what happens

Glad you feel like you are getting somewhere even if it is slower than you thought.
What are you going to do about work? Are you going to be going back. As 21st Jan is a long time away.
What scan are they doing next?
I have never heard of the injection.
Not sure weather I should say Fingers crossed that the injection works or not LOL
I have awful backache today just about to take my painkillers so I can get a good night sleep.

Cant they not put you on light duties so you are not lifting too much, and that you manage to get some rest.
I said to my friend the other day I hoped I look rough enough when I go to the occupational health on Friday and she said \"Love if you look any rougher they will be putting you in a box\"
Shes right I cant believe how old I am looking at the moment and I am only 36
Anyway took my painkillers 20 mins ago so going to try and get some sleep not that the pain has gone yet.
Hope you get a good nights sleep too.

I went to see the occupational health doctor yesterday and he was very supportive actually.
He said under no circumstances am I fit for work at the moment the state I am in and he didnt even fill in half the questions for the council.
He is writing to my consultant for a report which will come to my house before it goes to them so if I dont agree with it I can ask for it to be changed. Then as soon as I have my appointment at the hospital then I have to make another appointment with occ health and he will see if he can get me sorted as soon as possible as he said its terrible the way they have not told me anything all along and he said its no wonder I am so emotional as I am kept in the dark and nothing is being resolved.
But this is the other thing he said he used to be a gyno and he thinks its more likely I have fibroids as I am displaying the same symptoms and which is why my stomach is so huge. He also asked if the docs had put me on anything to stop the bleeding and I said no so he asked me what pain relief I was on so I told him so he said you are on the top dose so you must be in a lot of pain.
He also suggested if it is to have a hysterectomy as they could just grow back if I am sure my family is complete. :?
Today I am in bed as I am in a lot of pain and the pain relief is doing nothing. Mark offered to take me to hospital but I dont think its bad enough for that yet, I think as soon as my period arrives (its late) the pain will ease off as all the pain is in my pelvis.
How have you been since you had the injection?
How are you feeling about going to work?
Hope you are ok

I'm so glad you are finally getting some prof support it's about time because you've been left in limbo, personally i would complain , maybe your works have done you a big favour sending you there.
Ive started with the hot flushes and i don't like them
but it's something i will have to get use to, thurs evening i had a really annoying pain on my right side and in my groin, i said to hubby maybe it's my ovary dying off ? ive noticed come 3.30pm onwards i feel a bit sick and i'm exhausted  not sure if it's all connected.
I'm only doing 12 hrs at work ive dropped working at the trafford centre, so i will just work at stretford, so that's took a bit of the pressure of me, only thing is the driving but i'm just going to see how it goes, my bk ache as settled down and so as the stomach ache but at work i work on my own and do a lot of heavy lifting especially now coming to xmas we have bigger delivery's but hopefully it won't be too bad.
Weve got to keep our chin's up

I have hot flushes too not sure of they are the same as you are experiencing as I think menopausal ones are a bit longer than what I have but mine are bad enough.
Now you have been on on the injection about a week how do you feel do you think its your ovary or the bowel?
How far away from the trafford centre are you and from stretford?
Gosh the Trafford centre would have been a nightmare place to work near Christmas wouldnt it. I think 12 hours sounds enough for you dont think it would be wise to do anymore just yet.
I was in bed all day Saturday with Pelvic pain and back ache and was so tearful. Hubby kept poking his head in saying lazy and that and at one time I burst into tears and he was going to take me to hospital but I sid I will be fine and it eased off when my period came.
Yesterday I was up and about and not too bad just tired
Today the pelvic pain has come back and my period is heavier Mark rang me up this morning and I wasnt sure what to do I dont think it is severe enough to go to causualty but I dont think I should be in pain either expecially as I am having to wait so long for things to be sorted. I said I would ring up nhs direct for their advice but then ti eased off slightly with my painkillers so shall see what it is like when I pick up the kids from school. My back is bad and getting the odd twinge whilst sat here typing.
I am just so fed up and my appetite isnt very good at the moment which isnt a bad thing LOL

I had a similar injection for a year to shut down my ovaries as all of my cysts seemed to be on the right hand side.
I had a Zolodex injection every month and I slaos had to take a daily tablet of HRT to combat the effects of the menopause (which would be brought on by the injection).
The treatment did work in that I didn't have any cysts during the year of my treatment and I did feel great on the HRT! However my boobs ballooned!
But, after i finished the treatment I had another cyst on the right soon after and that's when I made the decision to have the ovary out.
Are you on any \"add-back\" medication (ie HRT) to combat the side effects? If not, you should ask your consultant.

Thats for your reply very grateful, no i'm not on any hrt, in fact they never even mentioned it but ive got my next injection on 5th nov so if i feel bad then i'll mention it.
Other thing ive noticed is ive got a mole on my bk size of a penny had it for years without problems, it's gone sore since fri hubby checked it and it's red so will get it checked at docs 2 moz, don't think it's connected but best being safe, hubby been telling me to get it removed for years.
I'm hoping my boobs don't grow cos i'm 40dd already, did you put any weight on with your injections, that is my biggest worry cos i'm large already, i have an underactive thyroid, this is the heaviest ive ever been.
the side effects are breast increase , hair loss and mood changes  my family already think i'm the devil  .

Yes, I would get that mole looked at just to be on the safe side.
I don't think I put any weight on with my injections but that may have been becasue I have the 2 things together (jab & hrt). I did feel really well I have to say. I got a lot of comments that I looked well, my hair was in good condition, my skin glowed and I had loads of energy.
You should definately ask about the HRT/add-back medication as there's no reason why you should suffer the effects of the menopause when there are things that can help you.
Take care.

Remember ages ago I said I had a boil on my back and I thought they were linked well my Gp said it was a sebaceous cyst well although its not as big and sore anymore I still have a big purple lump so I am mentioning that next time.
I also worry about weight gain and bigger boobs as I am big although I have to say I have gone up two dress sizes in the last year on my bottom half despite trying to diet and my boobs are a 42DD but then I have also heard about wonderful things from having a hysterectomy and how people have said there lives have changes etc.
My hair is falling out again it was coming out in huge chunks on sat my hubby was gobsmacked

What the bloody hell is going on, If you feell that much pain get to casualty straight away don't hesitate. Might be the only way of getting sorted sooner. Has for work I've just gone back to a new job as a T.A being at work does take your mind off things but i'm not in pain like you, tell work to p*ss off for now your more important. I think husbands just try to carry on as normal but under the surface there worried for you.
Keep mithering hospitals, GP's, etc. nobody should after endure so much pain for such along time. Be firm and tell them you've had enough.

Had a really bad night's sleep last night, sweat's, bk ache and today ive got a bad headache, but i'm looking forward to work in away cos i want to get bk to being normal again.

Kaz welcome back I am a TA and wish I had your enthusiasm LOL
Kim have a good day back at work
I rang the consultants secretary yesterday and she told me the appointment isnt until 12th November, I said I cant wait that long I have just spent the weekend in bed again bleeding heavily so I said why cant I go private like I have been asking so she is having a word with the consultant as he wasnt in yesterday and ringing me back today. I rang my insurance company and they said its fine to go private.
In the mean time any pain I have next I will be in. I was up last night feeling sick with back ache and havent ate for 3 days properly. I woke up this morning and I still had back ache and had hot sweats and felt sick all the way to school. The tramadol has kicked in now and I dont feel as sick. My suitcase is packed just incase.
So much for the 18 weeks Nhs turnaround as it hasnt happened in my case as my appointment takes me over the 18 weeks alone and whenever they decide to operate.
So if you dont hear from me you know I have gone in
Hugs to all
Tracey xx
