New symptom

The Sprite has got me well and truly this morning.  Back has been feeling a little stiff over the last few days with pain in lower back. This morning however the little devil has replaced my spine with a broom handle. I have no flexibility whatsoever - I would probably make a good guardsman for the palace today.  Never had it so that I cannot flex in any direction - even my neck is affected. Any ideas fibro folk - anyone else had this?

Oh dear, Maggers...not a good place to find yourself.  Have not had this

personally...yet,  but can identify with the way fibro creeps up on various muscles unexpectedly.

I did try out the Epsom salts bath yesterday evening.  Firstly, the skin stung like crazy, but before I could remove myself (which is quite a lengthy manouver), it wore off, so I soaked for a bit.  Unfortunately the water was a bit hotter than usual, so when I finally stood up...nearly fainted - silly me!  BUT, I did sleep with only one visit to the loo...which is unheard of these past few weeks!

Do hope it eases off for you quickly Maggers.

    Blessings

Not so hot next time - we don't want to hear that you have had a fall. Glad it gave you a good night. It does help me get a couple of hours too.

      Take care.

When my back seizes, I tend to apply endless hot water bottles. I sit with them at my back in a comfy chair. As for neck a little harder to deal with I imagine. Since I brought my memory foam pillow, thanks to your advise, touch wood, my neck has improved. Is getting a gentle therapeutic massage an option for you? Hope it is not a work day?

    Good luck

Don't laugh but I am currently using a massage pad bought by my daughter for her horse!!!  I shall start neighing soon.  It is so large I can wrap my entire torso in it. not working today as it is the last day of my time off (a week) back tomorrow though

P.S. the pad completely clean and free from horsehair!
