new tablets

I discovered 2 days ago that I had fibroids and have been told to take Norethisterone when I bleed again and I have to go back to the specialist on 22nd Dec to discuss what the plan is, and because I am bleeding so much they are thinking of going down the route of a hysterectomy. Has anyone else taken these tablets and do they help?

I've been taking them for about 17 month. I was having a break till may this year when consultant said I could take them non stop. I started taking them for heavy bleeding, I've not had any problems so far on them. In fact it's stopped the nausea, mood swings helped with my ibs and no more sore boobs. I know not every is the same but at the moment they are suiting me and I prefer this option than the coil or ablation. If I start to have problems then consultant said we can look at it again

Wouldn't have the coil. I tried that and got an almighty infection

and had to have it removed at the outpatients. I could feel it all the

time it was in. Wish I had never done that,I was about 48 at the

time. Ooh.. makes me shudder to think about it.😕

try drinking plenty of water, it works as I work in the hospital and that's what we advise the patients and no I'm not qualified
