hi I'm 19 years olds and i just found out i have herpes and i dont know what works or what to do about the horrible outbreaks. This is my first time getting a outbreaks and the pain is unbearable; i take Ibuprofen for the pain but it still hurts really bad. The pain is so bad that i think i may have to quit my job bc of all the walking and getting up and down i do until i figure out things that work for me. i also haven't got my medicine yet to help with anything yet. But I'm very open to try any home remedies or natural remedies to help with outbreaks and just the virus itself. Ive been extremely depressed and havent told anyone about my condition so if anyone has any tips of anything I'm open to all

hello, im only 17, im a girl and im also going through my first outbreak. have you been to a gyno? they should prescribe you a antiviral like valtrex, which is what im on. they also let me mix vaseline and lidocaine cream together to put on the bumps. i also take a bunch of baths. ice pack too. drink a lot of water. it is definitely the worst pain I’ve ever been through. i would recommend trying to leave work for a bit, it is important to take care of yourself. i ended taking a leave of absence from school and ive been on bed rest for about 5 days. im starting to develop more courage and become more positive. it is nice to know youre only 19 bc im young too and it is hard to confront this when youre still growing up. please stay positive, it will get better, especially if you have a good mindset.

hi and im so sorry to hear that; you're younger than me and going through it. i just moved to a new state so my insurance and all hasnt been moved over yet but i have been talking to my doctor which i have to call today about the pain and other options to do as well. my job unfortunately wasnt going to let me take a leave so i went in today to quit. this is something very new but it definitely helps to know that other people out there are going through the same thing . If you ever want to contact me or wanna talk. I hope you feel better and thank you sooo much love

that's tough and i cant believe you had to quit your job. thank you for responding. message me on here if you wanna talk and i can give you my number. also you can buy lidocaine cream at the store fyi and i believe valtrex might be available over counter, but it's more expensive.

Hey, I've heard that washing with summers eve the bacterial one helps a lot. I personally put desitin on them and it help with not stinging during the outbreak when peeing. the doctor also prescribed me some numbing cream for pain that the put on people after surgery (i was really scared to use that lol) but baby powered and pantyliners or pads keep the area dry. I know this is a tough time, i was devastated when i found out, i was depressed and didnt think i would make it, ive started suppressive meds and they are helping i said i dint want to take meds everyday for the rest of my life but it hasnt been bad. ill say a prayer for you, better days are coming! if you need someone to talk to feel free to message me

idk if you know exactly when you can track the Hsv, but if you do how long did it take for you to have your first outbreak?
