Welcome to the site - hope you find it useful to post your thoughts on.
Everyone ive spoken to on here is great and you should get some amazing help from the info on the forum.
Im not 100% sure why you are being raised to 40mg already. Are you having any serious anxiety attacks or any really dark and horrific thoughts? If you dont feel 20mg are working then 40mg is the way forward.
All the best pal

Thanks for that. Reasons for being on flu is due to anixety, unable to leave house, low self esteem and to be honest feeling worTthless. A couple of weeks ago i did have dark moments, but thankfully i seeked help! Day one of 40mg and have spent most of the day in bed reading. Yawning alot but not feeling tried. My body feels heavy, as if i need a good shake. Trying to stay postive, thats all i can do
Take care

It does seem early to be upping the dose to 40mg as flu hasn't really kicked in for you yet but i guess the doc knows what he is doing.
The yawning is something i really suffered from, drove me mad but it will go. As for the heavy feeling i had that too, sometimes in the morning i felt so heavy that i could hardly lift my legs up to get down the stairs. I was pleased when that passed.
I do hope flu helps you, stick with it and keep reading this site, as Hightower said the people on here are great. Everyone cares!
Take care

I'm also on 40mg and have been for 4 weeks now. Was on 20mg for 9 weeks.
I can relate to the excessive yawning, i do it all day at work!! and i'm doing reduced hours for a couple of weeks to try and catch up on my sleep, it's sort of working.
I envy you re the reading. I can only read for about 15 minutes at a time. I find i can't concentrate for longer than that. The jolly old flu affects people in different ways.
Keep posting with any queries you may have.
Try and stay positive although its really hard, i know.
Best wishes and take care.

I sometimes suffer from what sounds to be the same. I suffer from tension in the shoulders and neck, luckily a good massage eases this. I have also discovered that I tend to clench my teeth together when asleep. I clench them so tight that I have woken up with painful teeth and an aching jaw. This tends to come and go depending on my stress/anxiety levels. You can apparently get a sort of gum shield you place in your mouth over night to ease it. I am not sure if you can get them from the chemist or dentist. I hope this helps?

Funny reading all your posts. Been on flu a year now, anniversary yesterday actually, have been coming off them for 3 months now. So far so good but doing it slowly. I'd forgotten about the twitching eyelid i had at first, for about a month i think, drove me mad and then the teeth clenching. My jaw used to ache i was clenching so tightly. I still do it occassionally when i am stressed.
Hope your side effects fade quickly, does take a few months though and then coming off them i've had a few of them back, yawning being one of them.
I found this site at the end of last year. I only wish i'd found it this time last year. I felt so alone then and i needn't have been but i am happy to have found it now.
Hope you had a reasonable weekend

reading this has made me feel a bit nervous. Only been on Flu for 4 days now wondering if the side effects are worse than the depression!
So far nothing has happened. Seem to feel a bit calmer but that may be phsycological reaction to having admitted i have a problem!
Really could do without thinning hair - it is thin enough already! Dad is bald and that is more than enough for 1 family.
As for the other side effects, most of them I had before taking the Flu (yawning, heaviness, loss of libido, stomach issues etc) so may not notice!
Hubby rather hoping the flu brings back the woman he married! Well, he always knew I was insane!
