Newby - palpitations! :(
Posted , 5 users are following.
Hello! This looks like a really supportive forum, & just what I am looking for to try & make sense of this craziness I am going through. I am getting all the usual hot flushes etc (very grim). But it's the racing heart palpitations that are really getting me down. Please tell me I am not alone in this...
Thank you - Karen

You are not alone in the palpitations. They are a real treasure to be heaped onto the other little issues.

No I get this frequently. Sometimes its for a few seconds but the palpitations are really strong. Other times its more of a flutter. I'm new on here but I've discovered that I am not on my own. there is lots of support. Hope this helps.

Sorry to hear you are suffering too. It's good to know I'm not the only one though

I can relate to this myself! Menopause Is a pain to say the least.
I have more hot flushes in the evening.
It drives me mad!
One minute I'm taking my top off, next I'm putting it back on!
I have fast heart beating at times.
I get dizzy, double vision. It's a real inconvenience!
It's not nice growing old, when I have to put up with all that.
You feel like your a spring chicken!
Or in your twenties!
But then! Your body reminds you, your not!
I hate it!.
Anyway it's all part of the process.
What can we do? Nothing!
Except push aload of pills down me and hope for the best!
I eat allsorts of healthy foods. Most of the time, I cook from fresh anyway.
There are lots if recipies online, that are good for you, to cook.
Anyway enough of my moaning Karen,
It's just part of everyday life.

Thanks for your reply. Yes I too get dreadful dizziness. Really unpleasant, especially while you are working. I have started taking Sage, Starflower & Soya tablets (5 days in). So far no difference at all...but I live in hope. Don't really want to go down the HRT route at present
In the office the other day it was like 'Menopause Corner' ha ha. None I f my colleagues have had the palpitations & dizziness though. Ho hum...

Thanks for your reply.
I wouldn't personally bother with HRT myself, too much aggravation with worrying about the possible after affects of using it.
I would rather fight through the years with good food and food supplements, if they help. Not one for hormone replacements x
