newly diagnosed! scared of disclosing. please help!

Hi there! i'm a 25 year old female and have recently been diagnosed with genital herpes which has completely floored me. I haven't told anyone yet i'm struggling with the concept of having to disclose this to every sexual partner i have from now on.

If i avoid sex during OB's, use a condom at all times and take a daily dose of Valtrex, lysine and monolaurin (Lauricidin); what would be odds of transmitting this virus be? Would i still have to disclose?!

Hi i'm not sure yet - i still have a couple of days left till i get my results but i'd rather get started on suppressive treatments right away.

It is important to disclose because even if the chances of transmitting is minimal why risk infecting someone? Condoms don't fully protect someone from getting herpes.

I actually am in a relationship with someone that is negative. I told him that I have it and he took it well. It really depends on the person and what type of connection you have.

Hi Darana, i know it is and deep down i know i have to. Im so scared but i know i have to.

i'm just wondering what the rate of transmission would be if i used Lysine, monolaurin and valtrex as well as using condoms all time

If you take suppressive medicines and use condoms the transmission percentage is like 1 percent from female to male (higher from male to female).

I only want to have sex with people I am in a relationship anyway so I hope they would love me for me and look past some skin blisters! I would deffo tell them though.
