I'm on propylthiouracil, beta blockers, blood thinners for the AF, and steroids . Feeling shattered I'm thinking it's the medication? . Having a scan of the thyroid on Friday what reason would that before to look for cysts tumours possible?

Besides looking for cysts or tumours the scan helps confirm the diagnosis of Graves.  Sounds like you have had a thyroid storm.  Hopefully the treatment will kick in for you soon and you will feel better.

Hi Victoria, you are feeling shattered a, due to the stressful situation you find yourself in and b, thyroid issues generally do make you feel tired and c, yes medication can slow you down, which it is of course meant to do.  Your body does eventually adjust to the medication however so it isn't,t a a forever situation.  A scan is more to see what lumps and bumps you have and their size.  You might have a goitre or many small cysts. Once the scan results are through your specialist will make decisions and talk them through with you.  Your best bet now is to try to relax and let your body calm down after the storm.
