Hey guys

I would like to thank everyone who has given me support .

Hayleybell and Hope I've had my appointment with the neurologist and some good news and worrying, the MRI has shown the Chiari malformation to not be causing all the symptoms .

Unfortunately they have discovered some infarcts in my brain and they think I may of had some blood clots in the both cerebellum and right occipital lobe which shouldn't be there for my age.

So it has affected my brain which is why I'm getting symptoms which are like the Chiari.

I've got to now have another MRI to just look at the blood vessels supplying the Brain .

Also other cardiological tests , so in some way I'm relieved no surgery but still in limbo until other results come through .

Many thanks again Paul.

Morning Paul, thanks for letting us know how you got on. I have been thinking about you.

It does sound worrying for you, but try if you can to be positive. At least you know what is causing all of your symptoms and that the neurologists are taking care of you by ensuring you have all of the right tests carried out.

will you be referred to a more specialised neurologist that can treat you for this? Did they shed any light on what might have caused this to happen?

You mention cardiovascular tests will also be carried out, could it be related then?

chin up now buddy, things are moving in the right direction & we are here if you need a natter.....
