Hi I suffered from very bad reflux for years on a daily basis. I found it could flare up anytime of the day but was especially bad when I went to bed and kept me awake for several hours. Anyway about 5 months ago I stopped drinking milk and within a week my reflux had gone. I used to drink 4 pints of milk a day which included a large glass before going to my bed which I thought would help the reflux. Little did he realise that all the dairy I was eating and drinking was causing it. Now I can eat and drink whatever I like providing it is not dairy and I never get reflux. I hope this post helps others.

Very interesting to read that eliminating dairy has improved your life, what do you eat/drink as an alternative as I would be keen to give this approach a try.
Many thanks

Hi robin
I'm dairy free too. It has helped a bit but still waking up sore chest in morning.
I drink almond milk. I buy the unsweetened activated one by pure harvest (I'm in Western Australia). By the one with least ingredients in it. You don't want xantham gum or carregeen. These could cause bloating. I also make my own almond milk it's real easy. Do u have thermionix or NutriBullet?
Soy tastes nice in coffee but I read soy beans are not healthy!!!
Rice milk tastes disgusting however you may like it.
I would def try going dairy free.
Good luck

The only alternatives I have tried so far are Good Hemp and Soy, both of which I cannot get on with. Maybe I should get used to black tea (I do not drink coffee) I do sometimes drink Chickory. I shall have to have a look around to see what is on the market.
All the best
Robin
