No Period after stopping birth control

I was on birth control for three years, but decided to stop taking it after I had some gallbladder problems and birth control was not helping the situation. I stopped taking it in February, and has a period right away. It is not June and I have not had a period since. Some months I feel like I am getting ready to start, but I never do. I have gained about 10 pounds from when I stopped taking the pill, and have noticed most of the weight in my mid-section. I am a virgin, so I know I am not pregnant. My periods have always been normal, I decided to take birth control for the cramping and acne. Any suggestions on what I should do, since it's been 4 months of no period. Should I just start taking the birth control again, sucks that made my periods normal. I'm getting real frusturated with this. Thanks!
