You need to see a gynecologist. If you have to wait to see one, go to your GP and do a blood pregnancy test. He should also, if he can, send you to test your hormone levels, including your thyroid. Can he order (at least) an ultra-sound? That would give your gynecologist and possibly later on an endocrinologist a clearer picture of what is going on.
You don't say how old you are and if you have any preexisting conditions (PCOS, thyroid issues, being overweight...).
Stress can influence your cycles, but 5 months with no period is way too long.

Im 23, and this isnt the first time my period didnt show up for a few months. I would have a regular period for 6 months then not have it for three months. and im not showing any pregnancy symtoms
