Not coping very well

i have been taking sertriline for 2 weeks for my anxiety taking 25mg a day i have been feeling very sick on and off through

out the day dizzy and light headed i am struggling to socialise my xmas works do i had to leave early to go home and a family meal out. i have been told to stick with the tablets as this will get better when i am feeling bad i cant seem to sit still then i get a hot flush i feel this is getting worse then better. i have family here next weekend for xmas and i am so worried has anybody else experienced this thankyou

    Please give it 2 more weeks, I had the same thing you are going through, I had so much nervous energy, couldn't sit still and couldn't concentrate on anything. Once you system gets adjusted to the right dosage, the symptoms will subsided. I'm been on it for years, and just upped my dose because of perimenopause.

      thankypu ❤ i sometimes feel so alone and very emtional i have been taking the tablets about 6pm so i am home after work as i have had a couple of episodes at work i am back at the doctors on the 27th for a review worried if they up my dose i will feel worse thankyou for your encouragment xx

    ive tried 3 antidepressants and they were horrible for me ... it makes your anxiety worse i was told to stick with it too but just could not .good luck if you can as ive heard it does work but getting on abd getting off them is a nightmare

      i have been told when you do come off them you have to wean yourself of them x

      yes .... you have to slowly taper off them but then all the same issues come back .i know the hrt patch made me calmer. i am going through mono abd meno at the same time so been super super tough for me . think the patch has kept me stable
