Hi all,

Every night i wake up with pins and kneedles or a dead arm in my left arm, i am not sleeping on it as i lay it on my belly.

I also sometimes get this on my right arm as well but not as often.

Thanks in advance for replys.

Hi tambdy. Do you have other symptoms such as fatigue, tinnitus, balance when standing in one position?  If yes, I would urge you to get your vitamin b12 tested. This is how my symptoms started before diagnosed with vitamin b12 deficiency

Don't take b12 until you have the blood test. Supplementing b12 falsely raises test results. Get b12, folate and ferritin tested. B12 uses folate to metabolise into the cells. The body then uses ferritin (iron stores) to produce new blood cells so it is very important to have good levels of folate and ferritin for b12 to be metabolised into your cells. Low folate can cause falsely high b12 serum test results as b12 will run through your blood in its inactive form. The b12 serum test measures both active and inactive b12, therefore it cannot determine deficiency accurately.

hello there on a fine new years day, im so glad ive just read you blog , i was diagnosed with barretts 7 years ago, you get pins and needles to in both arms when i wake in the morning feels like ive lost control of my arms, i better do something about it, havent had it for a coulpe of weeks now since i changed my diet ive stopped having sharp breakfast products cornflakes branflakes etc, stopped with dairy products and started with almond milk , only the organic contains no baddies , start with porrage oats not wheat , i cook then blend with almonds to make it smooth the add honey gives you a power boost in the morning, then for the rest of the day take smoothies to work made with almonds honey almond milk and as many none acidic fruits as you can get in , i sip this over the day so as to take of the hunger pain and keeps your stomach just topped up and not over full, and when i come home i have my normal heathy tea , stay of the sweet stuff and pastries just have 2or 3 almonds after your meal you will find after a couple of days your acid reflux will stop. if you do get a bad acid attack at any time just take a teaspoon of honey with a tablespoon of best quality cider vinager in a small cup of cold water this will wipe out that indigestion , since starting 2 weeks ago ive managed to wein myself of the emoprezole i was on ,that night was dreading the new years eve ball as the meal normally wipes me out. but went for it last night had the meal and plenty to drink, thought i would be poorly this morning not at all feel great, i will keep you upto date with my progress , sorry about my spelling
