Hi Weesue,
I have had that problem for long time. When I first had prolapse it got really bad. One night I thought I should go to ER. I didn't know I had rectecele too. It was really impacted. Embrassing thing to happen. Scared me so bad that I would try anything to fix it.
What I found long term was prescription Linzess. It makes things easy, sometimes to loose.
I use to use a colon cleanse natural product that worked as long as I took it everyday. But you can't do it to long or it causes more problems.
I had to fiqure something out before surgery , so I wouldn't end up messing up the repair.
Not a pleasant subject. I usually suffer in silents. I'm sure you can relate.
Hope things improve for you.

I also try to go gluten free. I can tell a difference when I do that. And eat heathy. My belly doesn't blow up as much.

Hi there, huge problem I know as I suffer this too. Other than prune smoothies with lactulose daily you can order things like micralax enemas online, these are an immediate quick fix enabling you to begin a regime of food as smoothies etc. You might also try a colonic irrigation bag, again available online. Once again a 'problem fix' and not for frequent use. A simple gravity feed allows you to pop the top of the tube into the rectum just a few millimetres and open valve to let water in. Even just 100mls can give immediate relief. As always these things should be done following medical advice and I'd advise you to seek permission from your GP before attempting this. It is very effective when you are in despair. Wendy

Thank you Matron that is very good advice. Is it also not advised after a rectocele repair ? Very rare I resort to this but would be good to know if it's a no no completely! Wendy
