Numb area to the right of chin

Hi, posting on behalf of my husband.  Firstly he is a not worrier like I am and never googles, so was suprised when last he said an area to the right of his chin had felt numb all day, this has happened on and off for a couple of months apparently! not said anything to me.  He thought this was odd so googled, which he has never done before and found numb chin syndrome, a terrifying problem that seems to be related to blood type cancer and is very serious.  He is not worried, but I most definitely am.  He has agreed to see a GP as he also has a sore neck on the other side, which he said came on when sitting at a football match in the cold.  The numbness is not there every day, it comes and goes and feels like when you mouth is returning to normal after the dentist.  He has no pain or problems with teeth or gums. He is stressed due to pressure of work, aren't we all and definitely a what will be will be type of personality , an anxious type.  He does not seem ill in anyway, is not losing weight but is tired and always cold in bed.  Is this common or should we be worried.

Numbness can be sign of weak blood flow or neurological sign. This is a matter to be consulted with a GP/specialist.

Thanks Rocky, will be seeing GP.  He does feel cold a lot so maybe blood flow problems.
