OK FM'ers...I deal with FM since 1999

Posted , 13 users are following.

And I do all supps except for iburporfen for chronic pain.

If you want me off the FM group, I will absolutely leave....a person here wants me off and claims I'm dangerous....

Be honest....I don't need to be here to offer my helpers and can just leave for good on this FM group.

    To be honest Joy,

if someone else who is also here because they are diagnosed with fibromyalgia wants you off here I would be shocked.

I appreciate everyone's opinion and make my own decisions as to who I listen to.

I believe that we are all here to help each other and letting personal differences get between offering our personal experiences won't help any of us.

    I hope you stay.........

dont be silly joy ,if people cant take a multitude of advice and make there own desicion and choices ,then its there problem not yours hun,

like i always say this is what works for me ,it might work for you .

i like you do not hold a gun to any ones head .

and i never suggest that anyone should come of medications like i know you dont with out advice from there gp . so please stay, knowledge is power thru knowledge i hope one day we will find a cure. regards tina

I personally think it is single minded of somebody to become offended by something other than the norm, just because you do things differently doesn't mean it is the wrong way. We all have to find our own way whatever that may be.

i am new to FM so at the moment I have no idea what will and won't work for me , so I am thankful to hear everybody's experiences because I never know what might help me.

above all else nobody should be able to tell anybody to stay or go,

Campaigning on a health thread is not very professional.

You really should consider adopting something like the following:

"I am not a physician. If you change or are considering changing your prescribed regimen, always check with your doctor."

You should consider the fact "natural" doesn't always mean better or healthy. A number of supplements can be toxic if not judiciously used. Examples: iron, calcium, and potassium to name just a few. "Deficiencies" should be dianosed with blood, urine tests, etc. Medicating these deficiencies should properly supervised.

Sound too extreme? All it takes is 1 person to be harmed. 1 is too many.

I really wish you engage in a point by point debate, citing your references, state your qualifications, showing both sides of an argument; basically, stating your credentials and backing up so-called facts with hard data.

Why hold back? If you are so right in your advice, show proof. I look forward to a scholarly debate. Quite a healthy thing to do.

Do you deal with Fibro? If not, why are you here anyway.

I'm not here to debate with you or anyone. so don't go there....

I have info on FM treatments as I've been on another FM/CFS group for 8 yrs and I think I've learned something.....Plus I've been with a support group at our local hospital when I was given the FM dx....

I tell no one to get off their meds....I'm talking adjunts to better healing.....

Everyone is an adult here....and make their decisions....and don't tell me about someone being harmed, ever check out the pharma damages....

I didn't come here to scholarly debate, if you did GOOD LUCK.

Well...I have sle and fm is part of the package. I discovered some important info. Vitamins and supplements are considered mostly safe in package dosing. Also, they are either water or fat soluble.  Each having different metabolic rates.Sorry its attacking. Sometimes having a different opinion is a lonely place. Im a big girl and can take the criticism.  Why don't my detractors come back with facts and figures?  Be bold, take the ego and personality out of the equation. My big concern is someone presenting themselves as learned and an authority.   One needs to know a whole lot to be an authority.  If you have blind followers, so be it.Joy is a big girl too. She can prove me wrong, but she never discusses the issues at hand, like safety.Sorry, but safety is a big deal. People are generally free to put whatever they want in their bodies; however,  it is remiss not to give the appropriate warnings.

Its curious you can give advice, but cannot support your beliefs. Im challenging your advice, so if I am wrong in my data, I'm hear to listen. Debate is not a dirty word.

Im happy to hear your are not giving medical advice. That's all I really want to hear. Was that so hard?

what about all the harm pharmacy drugs do ,thousands of people die from so called prescription drugs every year not to mention hospital neglect

so far iv not heard of anyone dieing from homeopathic medincine, herbal yes but only when instructions have not been followed.

and if threres no truth in homeopathic medincine then why have we 3 homeopathic hospitals one being The royal London Homoeopathic hospital in great Ormond street

and the others being, the Glasgow homoeopathic hospital ,and the TunbridgeWells homoeopathic hospital.

not to mention homoeopathic clinics, and dentists, and chemists

I think the point that many are trying to make is that we are not 'blind followers'.

I am not sure anyone has claimed to be 'professional'.

    Hello Joy,

Oh dear,so sad to hear you are being attacked in this way. I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion - you don't have to agree with it! You have obviously battled with Fibro for many years, and have found things that work for you. Sharing them with others is no bad thing. You have signposted different directions for me, and for that I am grateful. My Doctor has refused to just throw different drugs at me, because he has done his research, and knows this is not the answer. We are all learning and sharing our experiences through this site, and that is what it should be all about..

    Take care, Anne

    Hello Joy,

I tottally agree with the comments you receiceved from Anne, everyone should be free to air their experience and comments without being attacked. Don't just leave because of one person !!!!!!!!

    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

If you are here to share your experiences and ask others advice then I would say stay. However, I don't know what you've posted before.  If you are here to tell others what to do then that is not quite right.

I hope that everyone has calmed down today and we can all continue to share our expereinces :-) .

I am very new to this condition and if it has worked for you please share it...... We are all suffering one way or another and if something has worked for you it may well work for me.

    Hi Joy

I feel I have to say something to the person that you think wants you to leave this group. " each person has their own opinion on how to deal with all problems, it's down to yourself on who to listen too, NOT to critise other people on how they deal"  we should all just be there to listen to each other and just be there for each other, well at least via this site anyway.

Well that's how I look at it anyway.
