To say the first few weeks are a nightmare when starting flouextine is an understatement !!

My side effects consisted of 3 weeks totally sick, Nausea, added anxiety, foot tapping, stomache pains, headache, yawning, loss appetite, tiredness and lethargy, muscle joint pains

By week 6 left with lethargy, tiredness, yawning, joint aches, yawning and headache

By week 12 side effects gone but left with slight joint aches (I go to yoga and pilates this helps)

Would I go through it again YES because for the first time in years I feel good, calm and generally anxiety / panic free

Stick with it you will get better

Thank you. I had been on fluoxetine before for PND but do not remember these side effects. Yesterday was the worst day to date. panic attacks most of the day, couldnt see anyone but didnt want to be on my own either. Today i have been up since 3. am really fighting the feeling of dread in my stomach. I dont have the option to just hide. i have kids to get to school and a business to run. I want this to end sad

Perhaps you should go back to your doctor they can give you dimazepam or similar to help you through the first few weeks. I know it's hard especially doing everyday tasks and lIving but try to stay calm or it will add to your anxiety

Keep talking on here it really helps

No one is useless keep saying to yourself 'I will enjoy Christmas' when I started we were due to go on holiday a month after starting them, at first I convinced myself I wasn't going to be well enough to go, but I gave myself the challenge of getting myself fit ( something to aim for) and started being positive minded instead of saying I feel ill, I feel anxious I thought go for a walk, or use hypnotherapy app, but I told myself you will be OK on holiday and I was not 100% but positive attitude helped

Anxiety pro it costs a couple of £. You need to listen to it uninterrupted at least once or twice a day for 2 weeks it has been brilliant for me and my partner uses the same app to relax.
