I have been quite calm so far but think things might change today.
If i have the keyhole i was told i may be allowed home the same day!
Fingers crossed.
Good luck to everyone.

Just to wish you good luck for your op. I have had a really easy ride with mine - it was a vaginal op which I can now see from other ladies' comments is obviously the best way. You are having keyhole which I think must be the second best option rather than the traditional abdominal. I have had the easiest - no pain, discomfort or tiredness and 6 weeks off work which felt more like a holiday! I do hope you are as fortunate as I was to have a brilliant surgeon (mine is a specialist in 'minimal access and robotic surgery').
Just bear in mind that the only reason they say you may be able to go home the next day is not because you will feel wonderful - it's because they want the bed!! In spite of my good recovery from day one I am still glad I stayed in for 4 days. Don't let them push you out earlier than you feel happy with.
Best wishes for the op.

Good luck for today, I m having the abdominal and think that's why I m so worried, it does seem the most invasive. My gyno does do vaginal hysterectomies but don't know the reason for her doing mine through my stomach.
Hope everything goes well for you, keep in touch x

You can't worry about that which you cannot change.
I know that sounds really deep but whatever happens there is nothing you can do about it. I have my op scheduled for 13th April but won't believe i've had it done until i wake up and i have a scar as its been cancelled 3 or 4 times now. I think i must be lucky as i'm quite looking forward to it because i know life on the other side will be better as i'm on some horrid drugs which i cannot wait to come off and i will hopefully be back to the old me running and exercising within a couple of months, which i've really missed now for over a year.
