Hi everyone I need help

I had my ovaries removed 6 weeks ago I can't have HRT as I have had blood clots in my lungs twice and my grandmother had breast cancer.

I'm now on blood thinners for life Rivaroxabam.

I'm really struggling just returned to work and I'm so tired. I'm irritable so so tired, take everything to heart and not sleeping at all. One second I'm cold in bed the next I'm burning up then awake freezing I'm constantly putting covers on and off all night , it really feels like every five mins. I'm tearful too. Is anyone else in this situation and know what I can take over asked the GP about herbal medication and they have said I can't take anything and offered counselling. Please help if you can I feel like I'm going mad

Would bio Identical HRT be safe for you to take?

Can you take high strength sage, passionflower and a women's multi Vit like meno serene? They have really helped me. I take magnesium and Vit D3 too but please check with your doctor before starting anything new.

Hope you find something to help with your symptoms, the flushes are so debilitating and take all your strength I know. Take care

Dear Tina, you poor thing. It sounds horrible what you are going through. I am shocked that doctors can leave you with it without and support and medication. Please go back and see a different Dr. I think it is important them to at least confirm that it is OK for you to rake some of these herbal supplements. Blood thinning medication is important and very serious. You do not want to take anything that counteracts with that. All the best. Get better soon.

Tina, I had a blood clot hit my lungs after the birth of my second son he was 1wk old and my blood gasses was postive and I was put in ICU they ran blood thinners through IV and the old tight leg socks they beleive it traveled from my leg to my lung my heart rate was very slow. My question is wonder why they never kept me on blood thinners I was 21 years old then 59 now. The ct scan taken days after all the blood thinner didnt show the clot. I was released from ICU days later. I ask my husband did they get the clot and he said doctor didn't know and I said well how will I know and his reply was I would drop dead let me tell you I ran staright for the couch to sit down. To this day IU have no ideal if I still have it but it doesnt show on ct scan and they couldn't find it because they beleve it dissolved after all the IV blood thinner. I think what caused mine was the horse pills back in the day they gave you to dry up your breast, They no longer use them now after they caused heart attacks in women. What caused your clots?

    Dear Tina

I had my ovaries out over a year ago and I can't take anything due to family history etc, I feel for you with the hot flushes, cold the next. I found that I was sweating quite bad at night but this did ease off eventually. I still dont want anything too heavy on me but the excessive sweating did stop. After about six months from my op I did suffer anxiety and panic attacks but thankfully I started taking a good vitamin supplement with magnesium, it is the magnesium which helped with the anxiety. I'm not feeling too bad a year on from it now and I hope that as time goes by your symptoms subside.x
