I am wondering if you also have both Graves and Hashimoto's disease. Have you had your antibodies checked? If not you should have your doctor do so.

I have had Graves for 7 years and I have never been under so hence my question.

Have you had surgery or RAI? The only people I know who take Levo are those who are hypothyroid or have had their thyroid destroyed by surgery or RAI or have both Hashimoto's and Graves. Do any of these pertain to you?

I have not heard of straight Graves patients who become hypothyroid.

Has anyone else on this Board heard of Graves patients being given Levo? I have not. Only patients I have heard that have this is patients who have antibodies to both Graves disease and Hashimoto's disease.

Just wondering if anyone gets these symptoms. I have hyperthyroidism and am on PTU and Propranolol. I had a saliva cortisol test done in December and was told I also have adrenal maladaption and was given some adrenal supplements. I took a small amount over 2 weeks and started to feel like I was going to pass out so I stopped them. I had a blood test 1 week ago which shows TSH has gone up to 3.59, FT3 5.7 and FT4 11.5 but I feel awful. I have cut down on the PTU to just 50mg and propranolol to 10mg daily at night so I can sleep. My right eye keeps twitching, my thyroid is painful and it seems to keep throwing out thyroxine intermittently and making me have spells of feeling like I am going to pass out, breathless, jelly legs, feeling like I am dying, nausea and my ears block for a minute or 2. Each odd spell lasts for an hour or so during which my throat feels tight and my voice becomes very raspy and I have pain running from my ear down my jaw and neck.
