    Hi Debbie

?You really need to see an eye specialist who is especially interested or knowledgeable about thyroid eye disease as that may be a possibilitty. In order to get a diagnosis or to exclude TED I would asdvise going to a local eye  hospital where they have a  walk in clinic. NB Eye hospital.

Debbie .. it's absolutely necessary that you find an eye specialist in the meantime before your Endo appt ... if you have thyroid related eye disease it can be treated when

Diagnosed early ... pick up the phone ..

Good advice Madge. Facing certainty always makes me feel reassured then I know what I am dealing with, I cannot stand uncertainty .

Please see an eye specialist immediately. I found out I had Graves when both my eyes swelled up and were extremely watery. You need to see both an endo and eye specialist right away so they can run the necessary test to determine if you have autoimmune disease.

Hi Debbie, your symptoms sound exactly like mine. I was being treated for depression and ibs. However, when I started to slow down with tiredness and couldn't manage the gym anymore, I knew my body wasn't quite right. Anyway my left eye started to swell and quick movements gave me double vision, my eye watered constantly. When I google all my symptoms it pointed to overactive thyroid. I have now been diagnosed with Graves disease and TED, ( thyroid eye disease ) I've just had my med increased to 40mg Carbimazol and 80mg of propanalol. I'm only 3 months in and just realising it's a long hawl. Hope you're given med pretty soon, as you'll then get to feel better.
