I also had my GB out about 18 months ago and continue to this day to have pain under my ribs, along the right side of my ribs to the end of them. I went to my GI and after normal blood work, and ultrasound, she said that it most likely is phantom or ghost pain from the severed nerves in conjunction with the surgery that may or may not go away. Mine comes and goes but still makes me a little apprehensive. I think there are quite a few of us that have this phenomenon, so you are not alone. There is another disorder called Sphincter of Oddi disorder which is a problem with the sphincter letting in and out the bile, which is free flowing now !

Eating the wrong things after gallbladder surgery can induce pain, bloating and diarrhea. To avoid gastrointestinal discomfort after GB removal avoid eating high-fat or spicy foods, including: ... High-fat meats, such as bologna, sausage and ground beef. High-fat dairy, such as cheese, ice cream and whole milk.
There are many great food suggestions google online food to eat and diet after GB removal.
