Pain/bleed 7 weeks post hemmoroidectomy

i had 3 hems removed and a fissure debrided 7 weeks post op today. i was pain free by week 4, but since the last week the pain is back with a vengeance! Passing a BM today felt like blades, and I have streaks of blood in stool.
Have I torn the wound open? Or is it another fissure?
I am SO depressed. I thought the hellhole was done. I've avoided constipation so I thought it would get better but this SUCKS!
going to see a consultant tomorrow but any advice that makes sense of this helps

Please let me know what happens to you for I have similar problems. Still bleeding after going to the loo after 4 weeks.

I feel your pain (literally). Either way, whether you have opened the wound, or it's a new fissure, I guess the outcome is the same – you'll have to be really careful with what you eat and do all of the other things (sitz baths etc) that help these things heal. I found a combination of pysllium tablets (metamucil), around 3-6 per day, and also one and a half sachets of Movicol or some kind of osmotic laxative was the only way I could stop these things happening again and again.
I'm about 12 weeks post up (3 x internal hemorrhoidectomy) and it has been rough. Constant ups and downs. Like you, I felt pretty good after 4 weeks but things got worse again and I felt like I was getting new hemorrhoids which were really painful even at the 8 week mark. I also had a fissure and I'm not sure if that ever fully healed but I just have to be really careful about what I eat and how I go to the bathroom (squatting style). Most surgery recoveries are linear, you get better every day, but something about the hemorrhoidectomy means that it doesn't seem to work that way and I've seen lost of people complain about. Just when you think you're getting better, something happens to make things worse and it's really depressing / demoralising. I got slightly obsessive and made a spreadsheet where I could track symptoms and rate them out of 10 (things like bleeding / swelling etc). I can see the ups and downs but I can also see the overall trend that the gaps where I am relatively symptom free get longer, so that gives me a bit of hope and helps put things even in perspective.
Good luck to you, it's a long journey and no one really prepares you for how s**t it will be! I hope the visit to consultant goes well and they manage to help.

I had mine done on 27th September and still in pain. Not like I was originally. I suffer severely with constipation so I try keep up with laxatives but last night I hadn't took any and it was like glass. The wound keeps opening when I open my bowels. Been on 3 rounds of antibiotics for infection. I am abroad right now on holiday, there's no way I could have done this a couple of weeks ago. I am still bleeding when I open my bowels and in pain but I'd say I'm feeling about 60% better. Hopefully on the road to recovery. Been a lengthy and hard process!
