I had a total left hip replacement in march this year, felt it was doing fairly well, just stiff and a little sore, but this past few days , pain in butt area mostly and limping more ,pain when taking steps, feels like it did the first few weeks post op. again. Wondering if I loosened something or maybe just to much assertion lately, I like to do cardio a lot.

I had left hip replaced in January of this year and it was a struggle at first. In April felt great but right hip needed surgery and it was completed in September. I am limping with some pain but I know it will take time to regain strength in areas that was affected for some years. I was in a local Walmart today and I was walking with cane but it hurt to stand still. I left because there was no electric carts available and I knew I would not be able to shop walking around. I want to be able to walk better but I am taking it careful and slow since I am not punching a clock for any one but myself. I pray things gets better and enjoy life.

slow down on the cardio and rest .. it sounds like to much and take time to let the area heal return to normal. its up and down when we do things that can irratate the new hip. some times even walking on uneven ground for to long can cause mine to rise up in pain and its my hip telling me to slow it down a bit and rest. have had both hips done and last year revision . ice the area , and try a pain patch, OTC type helps me when I need a little relief to knock the edge off the pain and anti inflamatories .
