Am taking ibuprofen and cocodamol for pain relief which takes the edge of the pain, but it's the constant muscle ache which is getting me down.

Walking down the stairs first thing in the morning makes me look 70 years old not 30 the soles of my feet burn in the morning

Don't know what to suggest to my doctor, also having some really restless nights

I have had my feet burning, it was all the time, I couldn't find the cause but I certainly know what it is like.

Try and do some stretching of your muscles before getting out of bed, that may help..

Restless legs drive me mental, in bed,, oout of bed, twitching....

I have had the painful, sore etc feet for few years now. Like you it's worse in the morning or if I have been on them for a long time. Can't win!  I also have problems with individual toes which I think I may need to see my GP about as I am not sure if it's the fibro. I never sleep longer than 3 or 4 hours solid. I try lying on one side then the other then my back. It's hard trying to get comfortable. Wish I could suggest something to help you apart from putting a pillow between your legs near your knees to help take the pressure off your hips and back.

Do you take ENOUGH magnesium and potassium, both being LOW in our bodies can cause the restless issues.

Does your MD do blood workd for mag and potassium in your body?  In the US we do all these labs and many more to get to the ROOT os issues.....

MOST docs just write scripts for drugs, SADLY. but true.

Higher doses of MSM thru the day can reduce pain.

Topicals for joints and muscles HELP.   Ice and Heat.

Inositol and Gaba for calming of the body.   calms the nerves.

I never went to a doc for the FM stuff....... J

B12 is important and MOST are low in B12 and B6, which is most likely the burning feet.   Again, get B12 tested...

Also, I was on a FM/CFS forum for 8 runs operated by a U.S. company specifically for FM/CFS issues and General Health.....if  you want that site, let me know.

Again,  conventional docs aren't going to do it.   unless you want to live on pain meds.....  J

Consider a naturopath as many I know go out the mainstream thinking world of medcine.    I see only an integrative MD and I teach her some things.   J

I must admit I started taking magnesium, b12, vit d and omega 3 but kept forgetting. Will start again tomorrow I think and also my diet has been rubbish these past couple of weeks.

Yes please let me know the website address, any tips I can get so I don't have to have stronger medication from the doctors would be great x

I wouldn't bother taking all that especially if it doesn't help you. You could maybe try alternative meds. I tried some of the meds you are on, not all at once though but feel they gave me side effects plus like you they didn't make much of a difference so I abandoned them. X

The problem I have  is if I try dropping any of the above my pain increases.

I am back with the pain specialist team in Liverpool so I am  going to ask about an alternative to all these as I don't like taking all these pills.

I would like to  try taking oramorph instead of the paracetamol and tramadol but only as and when I am really  struggling

Sounds like you are very over medicated to me.   More pain meds, create more pain, I've heard this time and time again.

Do you take any of those I have mentioned?   Long time ago when I was told I had the FM dx and I don't know for sure about this syndrome, I have a booklet and it talked about what could really help the pain and it wasn't tons of pain meds..

Many believe so many other areas of our body systems NEED to be addressed to get some fixing....pain.drugs don't fix, they are more bandaids, more and more bandaids.....What do you do otherwise?   J

I have seen five different specialists so far and they have said that I am on the perfect medication.

I have asked if we can find a way that I take less pills per day and they have all said I am on the perfect combination as it is.

If you feel good on all those pain meds, then you are in a good place...all those drugs would not be what I want and that's why I see MD's who do alternative work vs a lot of drugs.....but we all pick and choose.  J

I was thinking about asking my gp about pregabalin as I've read that it is good for fibromyalgia symptoms.

It does sound like a scary drug though, I don't want anything that could lead to weight gain, and as it's three weeks from Christmas and I quite like a glass of wine or two I don't want anything that could make me poorly....

I can't say that I am good or happy but all I know is that  if I drop any of them I feel worse.

I hope that the pain management course helps me.

I have been awake since2 am and thats because of pain and running to the toilet every ten minutes, but whati would suggest to you is ask your doctor to refer you to a pain clinic, i cant take co codomol as it makes my ibs worse as well as the fibro and the rest of my problems,

I have posted on the Alternative Board m y sleep combo, I sleep 8-10 hrs each night and deal with FM and OA and a mess from hip replacement, so lots of pain, but it's under good control with all I do.  Sleep is vital, don't you want to fix your sleep?   J
