Pain, spotting.

There is going to be TMI in this post.
My last period was over 7 yrs ago, I was 45. menopause was confirmed. Over the past year or so I have gotten cramps here and there and a spot, literally a spot, a couple of times, long ago. On Wed I was having a lot of pain, the pain I was feeling is what I used to feel like when I was ovulating, sharp cramps, sharp cervical pain, shooting pain in my vagina, as well as pain all around my lower back and abdomen. I felt like I was going to rupture.
So earlier today I felt like I had to go to the bathroom, frequently before I go I get a stomach ache, then severe nausea, it all went away, but I never went to the bathroom. A couple hours later I was laying down when the "ovulation" pain came, and then really bad cramping, like when your period starts. So twice in three days, can't help but assume something is wrong.
So I am definitely spotting, I have gone to the bathroom and there is still pain, more cramping though.
So I am posting this to see if anyone else has gone through this post-menopausal.

Yes, I am over two years post menopause. I have an appt for an vaginal ultrasound for this very thing on Tuesday. I have had two of them last year. My GYN said in Sept that my uterine lining was thin 3 cm so that wasn't an issue I have a couple uterine cyst and how I found out is the pain was so worrisome I ended up in the ER. That is how I found about the cyst. I have had five in 12 months vaginal ultrasounds and apparently I have ovarian cyst that my GYN says are most likely from long ago ovulations. She said they are nothing to worry about and couldn't cause me pain. The pain in my ovary area stopped me dead in my tracks it was so sharp. She said "Now you have something else to worry about, because it isn't ovaries and it isn't uterine. My spotting she believed was from cervical irritation because I apparently had a yeast infection. I didn't have any real symptoms. So spotting again and cramping (like when I used to have periods) had me calling my GYN again. So I am back in to have a look. My hips hurt and I have a big varicose veins in my right leg that aches and has made a lump on my leg. I found out I have significant arthritis in my right knee. So far the cramping hasn't returned...just yet. The spotting has stopped too. I did have lower back pain. It was confusing to think maybe I needed a bm and yet it didn't. The pain was mostly in my left ovary area. But I would get intense sharp stabbing pains in my right one.
I would recommend if only for your piece of mind, go see a GYN. Request an ultrasound.

Thanks for replying. I had an U/S in Aug and all was good, I'm thinking it might be hard for them to justify another one so soon, but that was my next step. The pain stopped around 8, have a slight intermittent throbbing in my right side groin.

Well, the pain just started again, very suddenly, it's also running down my right leg.
