Hi I had surgery some time ago but I still find intercourse painful. Everything else is settling down nicely. Any other people suffer like this?

I am just twelve months post op for prolapse. I also had a urethra caruncle removed in December and was told that's what was making intercourse painful. Intercourse still painful 4 month's later. Not sure it will ever be the same. I am 62 so perhaps that explains a lot.

My consultant said to put almond oil every night on scar tissue so it's not as sore when you eventually get round to having sex . I'm 3months post op ....has anyone tried this & has it improved scar tissue?

Try a different oil, you might be over sensitive to almond. I've read on here that coconut oil is good. If you have allergies to certain things you may have to shop around until you find one that suits you. It can take a long time for some of us to get back to normal so maybe you just have to take it easy and be patient! (Or partner does!) Gently does it.

So frustrating!! I really thought it was in the past but like yourself I find myself on antibiotics yet again . Initially I thought it was all in my head and I'm almost embarrassed to go to GP with symptoms. I'm in work on a call & sometimes I get pain down there like someone pressing a bruise , like on & off . It's hard to explain but it's kinda like pain in the scar area . Has anyone had anything like that ?
