Panic attacks

I don't smoke weed but on vacation my sisters bf had weed cookies. I ate a full cookie and couple hours later had a severe panic attack. Since then I get panic attacks everyday and wake up in middle of the night with them. Can that one incident actually trigger all of this?

Hi, I've actually read people's stories of them trying something like that just once and then they start having bad anxiety after that non stop...I've actually met somebody that went through that too and now she has anxiety....just that one time can affect you...I've been through that too.I have had anxiety/depression for 4 1/2 years, but due to something else that happened in my life!!If you are feeling bad everyday you should seek some help to control it!!!!You will be okay, but dont wait to get help,do it now!!!Good luck!!!!

I'm no expert but I would guess one time would be all it would take. I had a severe reaction to taking a prescription steroid and have battled anxiety ever since (a little over a year now). I had a nasal spray about a month ago that was also a steroid to help with a bad sore throat I had been having. Again, terrible anxiety followed just a few hours after the first dose. I think some people's bodies just can't handle that stuff. I'm sorry that you are experiencing this. I know the feeling of just wishing you could re-do that moment from when it all started.

Yes I wish I could take that moment back but you can't. So I'm just going to do what I have to do to get better

This story makes me so sad that a person would do that to you! I am so sorry.
