Pantraprazole dosage

Hi all,

I just had another endoscopy and the Dr. took me from 40 mg per day to 80. This seems like a high dosage to me. I wondered if anyone here takes that much?

    80mg pantoprazole is equivalent to 40mg omeprazole which is the standard high dose. I was on 80mg omeprazole (equiv to 160mg panto) for a few years prior to having my fundoplication (reflux reduction) surgery.

      equiv to 160 of panto. wow. ok I thought maybe doc made mistake because I was already concerned about just 40mg in long term use. Thankyou much.
