Hello Helen. I'm 53 and feeling the same. Sometimes I'll have some good days and then WHAM anxiety hits me. Keep coming back to this site to feel in community with all these wonderful women and get some pointers and friendship. Hugs.

Hi Helen, you are not alone! The anxiety I have right now is the worst I’ve ever experienced. I’m 47 and almost 4 years into peri. Try to do something to distract yourself. Keep posting, too. We’re here for you. 🌸

Oh Liz, the anxiety is the worst. It keeps me from enjoying life and I lose motivation. Distraction is the best way to get through it. I've also been able to go to an anxiety group and that has helped too.

When this first started 2 years ago I really thought something was terribley wrong.. I was scared and just couldn't imagine that it could have remotely been because I was entering menopause... I had skipped my period for three months..which I had done before so I wasn't too concerned ... but I felt like I was having one...bloated, cramps just like a period but no blood.. that happened several times through the first year... then the motion sickness feeling started last year. Not too many hot flashes , but yes to the night sweats... I wake up in the morning and my heart pounds with anxiety..and panic...
can anyone relate to this? 😪
