Has anyone undergone an arthroscopy patella debridement? I underwent the procedure nearly 4 weeks ago now and am finding it painful to put weight through my knee when walking - anyone know why and if / what i can do to improve this?

I had patella debridement done 20 years ago. It was very painful for the first couple weeks, and then it started to let up.

It is important for you to contact your doctor first and then see if there is anything you should do. Start back with simple exercise slowly. Ice was an amazing help. I'm not sure if you have any experience with essential oils, but I would try to find some pan away essential oil. If you can't find it I could send you a little rollerball bottle. It helped me a lot. After a recent surgery I used that before icing my hip and it worked wonders.

Make sure that you keep active. If you don't, your muscles will begin to atrophy and you will regret it. Good luck. I hope that you find the answers you need.

Many thanks, I am now having Physiotherapy treatment which is helping a little, working on regaining my muscle strength.
