PCO post Cataract - YAG Procedure - what should I expect

Posted , 7 users are following.

I had cataract surgery last june; all went ok - except for negative dysphotophasia; for first 8 weeks vision was superb but declined to be pre-cataract surgery.  Surgeon said PCO formed and YAG needed.

Any thoughts if this really will improve vision back?

If PCO is indeed the problem, then YAG will definitely help.

A note re my experience  to saj...  In October 2015, I had cataract surgery on both eyes. The left eye was done first with success. Surgery three weeks later on right eye wasn’t as successful.  Blurriness, spider webs, and obstructed vision. Had yag procedure 3 months later. Helped but continue to not have complete opening to see. Doctor wants do a second yag procedure for right eye.

BE CAREFUL, apparently it's very risky to replace lens if yag was carried out unnecessarily. Look back at my previous posts....I got yag done, hasn't worked!!

I got initial op done by Optical Express, going back to them in a fortnights time. I'm looking at getting lens replaced but a top eye specialist here said it's not a good idea.
