Pelvic Physical Therapy

Has anyone else had pelvic PT?  I am going through it now. I started in June... the pain goes away, (7 months!)  then after infection, it returns. But the pain is much less than before. On a scale of one to ten, it is a 2 now compared to a 9 before.

The Mayo doctor told me that pain following infection happens sometimes...   the recovery period is much improved.

What type of infection? Seems to me you need to take measures to prevent infection. I think my vulvodynia was caused by repeated Candida infection and all the medical and home treatments I used. While I was recovering from vulvodynia (using the various treatment I have spoken about before) I was very wary of getting thrush again. I did everything I could to prevent that (changing my diet, taking anti Candida suppliments, taking fluconazole prophylacticly).

You will have blips / setbacks in your recovery. We cannot live such isolated and controlled lives that something not happen to aggravate that skin. However, if you are getting a treatment that is working for you (amitriptyline, physio, acupuncture) you will find, as you have done, that recovery time from those blips gets shorter and shorter until one day there will be nothing to recover from.
