Hi I might be able to help you with your symptoms, I work as an optometrist. How long did the floaters last, in 1 or both eyes? Any flashes or unusual patterns, headache with this? Do you get migraines?

hi there!! oh yes ma'am... i started getting them about 3 years ago... right before i went into peri-menopause... i have a ton of them... been to my regular eye appts... everything checked out just fine. doctors told me not to worry . they told me i will need to "make friends" with them... kinda hard to do when they are annoying!! hang in there.. try not to worry.. they are very common ... take care and remember it will be ok ❤

Eliaimee - yes! I have had these off and on since 42 - I am 49 now. I haven't noticed any pattern but I do remember the first time I had them I was so concerned. On one of the meno sites they say it can be a migraine with aura/with or without headache. Another meno site connects the floaters/anxiety and says that those symptoms along with others can come on with a Hot Flash (with or without sweating). Take care and know that you are not alone. 😃
