As I entered peri, I had ireegular periods, then the odd really heavy one and then like you this endless spotting which went on for weeks, perhaps stopped for a day and started again. For my piece of mind I had it checked and all seemed OK so I knew it must be peri. I know about health anxiety and how you feel, I must have worried about every part of my body in one way or another! X

Dear Vanessa
Yes I thought the same, I thought I would be like my friend who just had heavier longer periods but mine didnt really go like that. I had the odd heavy ones but this endless on and off spotting really worried me. I suppose wea are so used to regular periods and when it all changes it throws us upside down and mix it with health anxiety which is so common now and we are in a state!
Try not to worry (easier said than done) it really does sound like peri but just for peace of mind get yourself checked over like I did. I read somewhere once that if a woman doesnt suffer anyother meno symptom she will at least notice the change in her menstrual cycle.
Health anxiety has been awful for me, I also suffered bad panic too. I had stomach issues too which led to gastitis. I lost weight with that and you can imagine what worry that caused me! I read about health anxiety in peri/meno but never thought I would suffer with it.
I have had many sleepless nights and waking up in the morning with a sense of dread but thankfully I feel alot better, OK, I still get a little anxious but not as bad. I hope you feel better in yourself soon and that you aren't alone in how you feel at this moment in time. X

I know the feeling. I always think the worse. Had a biopsy a week ago. I worry non-stop. I hate these medical problems. I just want to be healthy. They will probably order tests, but that's all part of the process. Hang in there!
