Ok. How do you deal with pain from your breast. I mean without think the worst. I get this awful pain only o my left breast but if you as me where to pin point I can't because it moves around. Mostly feel from my upper back bit when I go to lie down at night on my chest I feel it. Doctor's have to me it's muscle that I pulled and because of age I should not worry. Anyone else with similar pain?

Gelatin!  Trust me, it works wonders.  Either buy knox gelatine packages and put two level tsp a day in your tea or coffee or other hot drink...or start eating jello every day.  The boxed jello you make yourself, not the ones that come already made for you.

But try it...your body needs it.

I don't want to state the obvious, but have you had a recent breast scan? It is probably nothing, but just in case ....

    Hi gilly,

I can sympathise with you as I too have the same issues but it's in my right breast and I too think I'm going through perimemopause.. I have severe health anxiety so over the last 11 mths I have been back and forth to the docs, had numerous breast examinations and a clear  mammogram too.  The breast specialist said it's either non- cyclical or cyclical breast pain which is common so that reassured me however I still can't stop the odd worry ( but that's my anxiety ) But can't hurt  asking for a mammogram  though just to help put your mind at rest.

Hope this helps :-) oh the joys of going through peri menopause

Forgot to say that my breast pain has been on and off for around 11 mths for a few weeks at a time and I did have a few mths free of it.. plus it could be muscle strain too ( dr said that to me also)  stay positive :-) x

I have this pain in my left breast too, it started 2yrs ago, some months there's no pain at all, I  have checked my breast monthly but don't feel any strange lumps, or discharge, I have been to my doctors many times, he checked my breasts but advise me not to worry as he said it's to do with my muscle or rib? Not sure which one, but at times the pain disappears for months. It started again last month and a few weeks it stops, if I sleep on my breast it feels painful too, the right breast is fine though. No pain. I'm in perimenopause too.

I too went to my doctor when i got deep breast pain without pinpointing exactly where it was, mine however, was slightly sharp. He said it was musculoskeletal such that i ended up seeing a chiropractor who adjusted my back and the pain since then has not returned.

Gill as woman/girls we get pain in our breasts during puberty, menstrual and pmt tenderness, Tenderness and enlargement when pregnant, expansion and lumpiness  when we breast feed, cysts around the peri menopause time, well at least i did and several at that and very painful. Yes i still get them and im now 66, mammogram  all clear even though i had the pain at the time of having this done.! I know an underwired bra can cause this problem as well. All you can do is make sure your checked and try not to worry about this, Obviously check for lumps as well .Im afraid its all part of being a women.! Mine is the left breast and slightly under the arm into the back a bit.. comes and goes.
