Thanks for replies. Some natural remedies effect the oestregen balance so its  important to know which way you are otherwise one could be having oestregenic foods when one is already dominant in it

I had hormone testing which showed very low progesterone. My symptoms of estrogen dominance were not being able to sleep, high emotions, bad fibrocystic painful breasts, ovarian cysts with pain.

I had lots of other symptoms as well but these were a few that were def estrogen dominant related.

You need to have it checked at a clinic to know for sure.  There are some mail-in tests you can buy online.

The most obvious ones for oestrogen dominance are long cycles and heavy periods. Longer term symptoms are when we create fibroids, endometriosis etc. Less obvious ones are so myriad that they can be confused with other illnesses (or indeed a bad marriage) such as fatigue, insomnia. There are some really good books out there that go into symptoms in detail or as other people are saying have a test. You know your own body and whether things are right. Good luck

Hi I totally know what your going through I had hell for 4  to 5 yrs, however my family doctor did a blood test which showed him that I was very low in the hormone and started me on single hrt, this is because I had also had a hysterectomy many years ago so double hrt was not needed in my case.
