Perimenopause or Not???

Hello again Lovlies,

Since all my crazy peri symptoms have started about a few months ago, I've noticed that I have a lot of gas. Gas gets to the point where it moves all over the place including my chest that scares me to the point I feel like I have to belch, but it never happens...has anyone else expierenced this and if so is there anything that can be done to relieve the symtpoms?

I have been suffering with this exact thing for about 2 years now. I'm 53 and still get my period although its very irratic now. I get the gas in my chest and I do belch. I will belch for quite awhile until I have 1 so big that I can literally feel my tummy deflate. It's embarrassing but if I hold it then I get chest pain that scares me.my family is used to it now lol. So I feel your frustration. Been dealing with unpleasant symptoms for probably about 6-7 years. Hoping to start real menopause soon! Good luck!

Thanks for responding. I eventually do belch but before I do it causes discomfort in my chest. Makes me think that something is wrong with my heart. I used to have gas but never like this.

Me too, I'm burbing for England - as they say "better out than in". As Nancy said, I also burp for quite a while. I should imagine if you hold it in, it would be painful. I'm not sure what you can do about it.

I googled and for digestion problems was considering using probiotics...not available in our country though

We have plenty here. I am thinking about trying it. I heard it was really good. I be so hungry but some times after I eat here comes the idegestion. I think sometimes I have anxiety induced indegestion. I get so nervous and jittery that I get the gasy gut and traveling gas. I've just never had it this bad until I got the rest of these symtpoms.

Yes I do get that type of gas, but I also get a very full feeling like my food is not digesting. I can wake up feeling full and a tightness around my mid-section. I can feel nauseous too. Makes me worry it's something more serious.

I have started working on a healthier diet as well. I'm still learning what works for my gut and what doesn't. I need potassium so I eat bananas and drink orange juice. The oj I'm realizing makes my gut rumble so it's going to have to be fresh oranges.
