    Hi Zoe.

It's best to calm down and it does get frustrating and annoying when you actually see doctors ignore you. It's the same with me and my family. I complain about a pain and they automatically blame my anxiety. It's always my anxiety's fault. But it is true, anxiety is the reason why we feel this way, why we have paranoia, and why we have these physical symptoms. All these symptoms you're explaining are classic anxiety symptoms. If tests came back normal then you're okay. The tests can't lie. I'm the type of person who doesn't believe what the doctors say unless I have actual tests to prove it. I'm sure you're the same also. Anxiety is definitely tiring and emotionally draining. Just take it one day at a time

Hi, Zoe:  Did your doctor recommend any kind of medicine to calm you down.  When I had my two daughters I had post pardum depression and tons of anxiety.  How old are your children, if I may ask....your hormones may still be a little off, but they can check that with blood tests.  I would insist that something be done to relieve your anxiety, and if it takes a while, try herbal teas.  There is a lot to be said about different kind of teas, and they are not harmful to your body...Hope you feel better soon...

Thank you for replying carole i was pleading with her to give me something either for the painor if they are implying its in my head something for the anxiety just temporarily and she just said plain no with no explanation my children are 12, 3 and just turned 1 but bearing in mind i have been like this for about 8 months now. At this point im willing to try every herbal tea known to mankind so thank you.

I think the fact that your GP isn't listening to you is probably making you feel worse. I have an extremely good GP and have had all tests done, all clear, but it is the fact that my GP listens to me and acknowledges that anxiety is an illness and very difficult to deal with. He really listens and I think you maybe should find a GP that listens to you. I don't want someone to do it all for me, and I'm sure you don't, but it certainly helps to be able to say " I feel awful again" and be listened to. Hope this helps.

I agree with Lisa's post below about finding a new GP who will listen. I repeat what I said to you about needing a GP who listens. A healthy diet and vitamins are good to try as then you feel you are trying to help yourself but the main thing is for you and a more sympathetic Gp to work together to find coping techniques. At the moment I think you are probably feeling some kind of quilt about being anxious and that will only put pressure on you. Take care

Amxity is extremly common and many doctors have no patence with it. Oddly some of them have it themselves. There are medicines for it some work some dont and some are addictive and cause a host of new problems. Considering how rampant it is in this world now im shocked they have not figured something out to calm it safer. There is cbt, mediatation and mindful breathing. There are alternatives to the meds like L-theanine in the vitamin stores. Benzos are the fastest and quickest way to stoo them but they are very addictive and can and do effect the eyes. There are ssris that some people do great on and some cant use do to side effects. This is a journey in the end of you against yourself.  Thats the reality of it. Its a hard journey in learnig. New coping mechanisms for stress . I wonder constatnly if its some sort of virus but that hasnt been prooven to date. Im not sure what scientists really study anymore as theycan clone sheep and nasa puts men on the moon and yet here we all are today. We have all grown up assuming doctors can fix it all, but they cant. So what now? Learn meditation and breathing and take one hour at a time. Keep as busy as you humanly can. Change your diet to a healthy heart diet and be sure to drink lots of juices and water. But a notebook and log in all your symptoms. Everytime you have anxiety log in the symptoms. Reason is you will see after a week there is a pattern. Find a new gp because you do need to run bloodwork and get a ekg. Get yourself a liquid multivitamin as they absorb better. One out of four people are living like this. If you are a smoker, as i am and wish to god i never smoked one butt realize its an addiction that adds to the anxiety and always will. They have retreat spas if you have money you can go on to help learn many of these techniques. Usually spouses become annoyed and some pull away for the lucky few they have great support. This is manageable and it absolutely will wax and wane but its going to take a ton of honesty and work on your part. Definetly must learn breathing techniques and cbt mist you can find in audiobooks or on the web in some form. Good luck on your journey. This is one of the best forums i have come across as most people have steered away from the web as they end up searching their symptoms and 90% of the time the information in reality is not related to them but their minds make it fit and it worsens the anxiety ten fold. I have done this myself. Even with ailmesnt and illnesses i have googled my stuff and it seems they show the worst of every scenario and the most unrealistic prudent doctor advice. As we all know doctors do not take much time trying to figure out anything. They dont have that time themselves as they need to meet their own quotas and many tests are no longer covered by insurance and blood tests are hundreds of dollars a pop. Good luck and bring in spiritual love it will give you hope and hope is needed. Thats the most honest advice i can give you from my own journey.

If you can, try and get to see a different doctor, preferably one who specialises or at least knows something about anxiety... You need persist until you find one who will help you. I know the feeling of being 'scared all the time' and it's not at all fun. It sounds like you might benefit from an SSRI but you need to find a doc who cares and will explain everything to you properly and not just throw them at you to keep you quiet! The good ones are out there it just takes a while to find them sometimes. Hope things get better for you soon x

Your doctor added to your anxiety. I'm not sure how you reporty gps but she should be reported.

You must find another doctor because I promise you, not all doctors are like that.

20 years ago a doctor sat there laughing and he said "phone the samaritans".

I know a guy who's wife died in her sleep from the smoking disease. It was a shock for him. He went to same doctor and this b....d said no because valium are addictive. He replied "I'll have to have a drink then"

The doctor laughed and said "enjoy it".

So you are not alone with this problem. It is trial and error finding a good doctor but persist and things will work out.

    Best of luck sweetheart
