Picked up hsv2 in 2013. Only now becoming a big pain. How do I manage bad chills and awful headaches

I only had lesions on my first ob... for the first 2 years sometimes I would go 4 months without an ob, but now they're virtually every month. Why is this happening? My symptoms are depressing me to the point where it's causing me to have constant anxiety... the chills and fatigue are awful... especially the chills. It's SO uncomfortable. Will Tylenol even help with the chills or am I just forced to wait till it goes away? If so I will go grab some... mostly I want to just know how to manage my symptoms when I have outbreaks and how to prevent them in any way (other than antiviral meds)... Oh and does anyone else get these awful chills during their recurrent ob's? How long do yours last for? Sorry for scattered questions. I guess I just want answers and to not feel so alone cause of the anxiety it's causing me sad

Chills are not a common symptom. In fact, I haven't heard anyone else with that complaint. Are you sure it's related? Are you male or female?

Ya, it's listed under the symptoms for HSV2... maybe it's not common but it's a possible symptom unfortunately sad

Maybe with the first outbreak, as I suppose chills could fall under flu-like symptoms, but it's not typical of recurrences. Not for most people, at least. Recurrences are usually pretty mild, with none of the systemic symptoms associated with first outbreaks. Of course, exceptions exist. Do you have a temperature when you get these chills?

Have you found any natural relief?

Upon my quest i have found that Garlic, Cayenne, Oil of Oregano, and Licorice oils ingested two at a time for two weeks has helped me A TON. i mix Thyme with the Garlic about 1/8th of a teaspoon also for an extra kick of AntiViral. It's worth a shot, hopefully you will find some relief in ingesting these oils.

Best of wishes in your relief ?
