I really appreciate your help as I really want to know if they can prescribe you Placebo without your consent?
I am on day 24 and I haven’t really started to feel any different. I am seriously tired off it, maybe my side effects are just in my head? Really need to find out.
Thanks,
P

I am sure we can all beat this together, it makes me feel a lot better knowing I am not alone!
I don’t know if I am just being paranoid when it comes to my medicine but I have been so enthusiastic thinking that things will get better soon, that if they don’t start improving drastically I am going to get really down again.
I can see myself being more impatient and snappy, my ‘side effects’ are gone and I am losing weight.. so I not sure what is going on. I am just desperate for Flu to kick in and after 24 days I am beginning to lose faith…..
I went to the GP two days ago and picked up my new prescription and the pharmacist gave me a different brand of flu..
Thanks for your support jjj73 and for finding out for me!!!

Funny you saying about placebo i was private messaging another member earlier today and we spoke about that so i'm sure we'd be interested too!
I don't know how they'd be able to do it though unless there's a special code on the prescription to let the pharmacist know. I know i probably sound stupid but i can't see another way unless all fluoxetine tablets are placebo.
Looking forward to the answer tomorrow
Take care

Are GP's prescribing us sugar pills. my Doctor has asked me in the past \"do they work\" when referring 2 antidepressants and i shrug my shoulders
i still do now, i really don't know do my antidepressants work or not right now.
I've been on flu 4 two and a half years nearly (20mg a day) and i haven't drunk a drop of alcohol
i think living in an Inner city is a big cause of depression, espessialy in our country with constant grey skys, cars, drab buildings and constant financial pressure too causes depression. not 2 mention the constant focus on success and youth being important. :D

When I first got my flu prescribed I was convinced that it was Placebo. Not really sure why I thought it was Placebo but I checked everything, the codes on the pack, the website of Goldsheild etc.
I have been taking the Goldshield brand for just under a month now and I picked up my second prescription this week. The pharmacist gave me different colour tablets. The new ones are from Tillomed and they are all green without the text (F 20) that is on the yellow-green Goldshield ones.
WHY do we get different brand Fluoxetine the second time? Are these Placebo or are this just in my mind? I need to know what is going on here as this is driving me insane and I need to know the truth.
To be honest, I am feeling better but I am not back to my normal self yet and that is all I care about. With our withour Flu…
Help……….

Im not so much doing research or worrying myself too much but I was on a different brand for my first 4 packs of Flu and I am now on the same as \"Guest\", the Tillomed packet. I am still feeling the same effect as the first brand and think if we all read into the placebo idea too much then aspirin, co-dydramol and every other medicine we've ever taken in our lives could be the same but im pretty sure we've all felt the benefit of those.
Flu takes a long time to get into the system so if you don’t feel its working or are worrying its all placebo then speak to your GP/Counsellor and get real answers rather than guess.
To be honest, id rather NOT KNOW....if the doc turned round and said \"Oh, by the way, you've been taking sugar pills all along\" he would have my size 13 shoe up his arse and id be demanding a refund from the chemist. But by not knowing then i have the optimism inside that says \"You know what, these pills ARE making me feel better and I AM gonna reach the light at the end of the tunnel soon\".
It’s your choice guys, believe the hype on the net about placebo or believe your GP....i know where my money is on.
All the best

It was me that posted the experience before yours as 'Guest'.. huess i'm just a bit unfamilliar with this webiste!
I haven't found much facts about whether it would be sugar pills or Fluoxetine Hydrachloride in my meds.. but just like you I am going to believe that they will help me and I want to see the light in the end of the tunnel.
Thanks for all your concern guys.. x
