Explan to the new gp the meds that you are taking are not strong enough i think gps now are reluctant to give high doses of morphine or go to A&E or a walk in centre tell them what you have said here

good look i know how you feel its bloody awful being in pain

the new doctor doesnt really seem to care, i can understand about giving out high doseages but ive been one them for 3 years now. i went to A&E and they gave me one patch but only a 12.5mcg one and told me to let my doctor know, but again she wasnt interested. it even got to the point where i had no choice but to iv a small dose of heroin just to get through the day, and the last i wanna be doing is that. is there a way to get private prescriptions, or anything like that? im so desperate atm im having to buy patches and oxys again something i dont wana be doin. at this rate im going to lose my job, followed by my house. i really need help sad thanks for your reply Marshall

Hi Ryan ,so sorry to hear of your awful pain and the plight you have been left in. Are you in the UK or abroad ?

If you are in the UK I would think you have the right to have your medication reinstated or a medication to provode the same pain relief .We do have to shout though ,a new doctor (or any doctor for that matter) will not know how bad our pain is ,if we don't shout. Any doctor would know that Pain medication of the sort you were on should not be altered abruptly .Please shout ! Do not suffer !

If you are abroad ,Im sorry but I don't know how they work there.

    wishing you the very best

    Hi Ryan

I was so sorry to  hear how you are suffering, and no one  appears to be  listening.  I know onlt too wellhow pain can pull you down,  firstly, have you ever been referred to a pain management team via your local hospital.  Your GP can refer you for pain  management, and you should demand this.  Secondly, google the PALS organisation for your area.  This is a Patient Liason Service  and they are based in every area throughout the UK.  They are there to help people like you.  Please dont go  down the route of street pain killers, your worth more than that.  You work, you pay regularly into a system that should be supporting you.  Finally if it was me i would go see my MP at his surgery in your town.  Your are being treated shamfully.  Please follow up all these areas of help, someone will be able to help you.  Find out your legal rights as a patient from your local citizens advice service.  I hope some  of these suggestions find you releif.  I will be thinking of you, and people do care Ryan.
