Please help, health anxiety suffer on the extreme end of scale, have persistent wheezing cough

Posted , 3 users are following.

I have been diagnosed with severe health anxiety. So even the little things affect me deeply. I had a cold three weeks ago. It seem to get better but over the last couple of days i have developed a bad cough. It is mainly triggered when I exhale deeply. When I do that I get an awful wheezing sound following by the cough. It just sounds awful. Only clear mucus comes up.

Can someone, anyone, at least give me some insight that this is not a precursor to something sinister.

There is a virus around that has a nasty cough with it, folk feel better after the cold with mild cough then the nasty cough sets in, this could be what you have. Unfortunately there is nothing that can help a virus just has to run its course, but of course if you feel positively unwell with the cough see a doctor, fatigue also comes with this flu like virus.

As I have a very compromised immune system I take Echinacea complex 40, tastes awful but so far I have avoided this virus that seems to be all around me.
