around 2 months ago i had these spots on the top of my thigh. I had nothing on my genitals. everyone on heres symptoms dont look similar to mine and im struggling everyday just thinking and waiting for something to appear again. I am almost certain that it is herpes but at the time i thought it was just a skin irritation and every professional has said that as i had cold sores when i was younger a blood test wouldnt be helpful as they are wrong a lot of the time and i must just wait for another flare up to know. Many people have said fungal/yeast infection but it looks so similar to herpes and my ex boyfriend has recently been confirmed to have it so it must be? has anyone had these before on the skin rather than genitals and does this mean this is the place where a future partner would contract it from rather than my vagina. please see below what they looked like and please respond i am feeling so alone and like no one can help me

genital herpes can occur anywhere in the "boxer short" region. i would advise getting a swab of the area for hsv.

its not present anymore it was a few months ago however, today I have had like 2/3 spots in the same area looking like theyre starting to come through so if they reappear i will go and get them swabbed. have you seen herpes look like this?

the pictures arent super clear but it does look like it might be just becuase of the white looking vesicle blisters in it? I have seen some people get it there. I think it would be worth going in and having them look as well as swabbing the area when it comes back.

ive had 2 spots show up this morning in the same area. they are itchy but not painful and theres only two of them. The last time i had just two spots there before the cluster the clinic just said it was follulitus i will go to the doctor and get it looked at

Yeah definitely get it tested. If they can do a PCR swab thats ideal but a viral culture if not. Its not super common to present that way but i did see someone have a somewhat similar situation. Perhaps it is something else though and you can have them check! Since your ex is positive it may be another sign. Good luck I hope you find an answer!
