Please help.. In serious panic

Hi, I'm 18 years old and have had sex twice with a man and we did use condoms. The last time we had sex was about 3 weeks ago and I have not talked to him since and I do not know his sexual history. Yesterday, (same day my period started) I found a painless pimple looking lump in my pubic hair (far above my clitoris) and when it popped it was full of white pus, I had read the HSV-2 bumps are usually filled with clear fluid. I have no itching or burning, just that bump which has now turned into just a tiny red mark but it is not accompanied by any pain whatsoever. I don't think it is an ingrown hair bc I don't really shave down there but I do trim). I have not had any signs of any other bumps or rashes, although I can't see in near my rectum. I have been looking up symptoms of HSV-2 and I am very scared this is what I have. I am going to the doctors tomorrow to be checked but I am so anxious I can't even sleep. Advice would be greatly appreciated. I am also currently sick with a cold but my lymph nodes are not sore. Thank you for the help.

To me this sounds like maybe just a simple pimple.. I get them before and during my period.. It doesn't sound like hsv1 or 2. Better safe than sorry though because again everyone expresses the virus' differently! Hopefully you'll find it is something simple like a pimple! Good luck! Just stay calm!

I've been watching everything down there like a hawk and so far no difference. I am praying I do not have it. Hopefully this is just a "scare" to teach me a lesson about being diligent and safe.

Three weeks is on the long side. If a primary outbreak, especially with no prior history of cold sores, you would typically get a few symptoms (not just a pimple) within the first week of exposure.

I think you're fine and it's probably just a regular pimple, which we all get from time to time. smile

Yeah, primary outbreaks in persons with no prior history of cold sores (which can serve to reduce or suppress symptoms) are pretty hard to miss and occur very quickly. My symptoms occurred in 1-2 days after exposure! Up to a week is common.
