Hi everyone,
I have been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder however I cannot convince myself that the symptoms I am experiencing are possible from anxiety. I have been feeling severe head pressure at the base of my skull, I get these moments that come out of nowhere when I feel so much pressure and tightness that it feels like my eyes are going to pop out and my ears start ringing , this is accompanied by severe dizziness. my eyes feel like they're burning and I see a lot of floaters. apart from the head symptoms I have muscle twitching all over my body and a feeling of vibration that also moves about my body I also experience pins and needles. could these symptoms possibly be anxiety related? Has anyone ever experienced anything similar ? I have a head mri for scheduled however its for January and im so scared it could be a brain tumor or MS.
thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello Ruth,
I suffer with chronic anxiety (8 years)
I have suffered similar symptoms which after a brain MRI scan came back clear was diagnosed as Cluster Headaches .
I still get pins n needles to this day.
I was prescribed a medication called Naramig that worked for me 100% of the time within 30 mins to an hour.
Peace 🙏

Your fine and not any different from anyone else with anxiety. But your worrying so much is bad for your health and eventually you will start feeling things that are not there. The mind is very powerful and can mimick any pain. Not to mention stress over all is the worst thing for you... so do your best to say ok whatever I'm dying and I'm ok with that.. you give the anxiety less of a hold on you.. dont fight it go with it.. please talk to a good therapist who specializes in anxiety and eat a well balanced organic diet. Meats should be grass fed, eggs should be pasture raised..etc.... food is very important and it's a good start.. if you go to some of my posts I have a viatamin regimen I go by that's been a life saver for me and my family.. hope this helps.

you dont know how badly i want to hug you and tell you what youre going through is what i went through and currently going through but its much better. the symptoms you are experiencing no matter how crazy and physical they feel try to come to terms with it and take some medication to help you get through it. apparently from what i have been told is that its that our muscles contract and causes these symptoms because of the constant state of stress and anxiety. it happens to me even when im not stressed or even anxious.
ive done every test with almost all the medical departments everything is clean.
if youve been cleared by doctors trust that this is a mental issue and seek help with a psychiatrist.
to prove to myself that this was anxiety related and not some brain tumor i took a xanax, and all my symptoms dissapeared till the next day.
i am currently on zoloft and it has helped but im not there yet.
how is your sleep ?

Hi Ruth, I feel exactly like you, I have all those symptoms...and yes, its all Anxiety, I had a serious amount of tests done, at our local hospital, blood works, balance, heart, and brain...everything was normal...one thing I have found is Michael Norman..panic explained ....you will find him on you tube if you sign up with e-mail. he will send you 4 episodes. so far I have listened to 2...and find what he says to be so helpful...better than anything I have heard before...and its all free...he will give you the answers you are looking for....Why not give it a try....and let us know what you think...xx.
