PLEASE TELL ME THIS ISN’T HERPES!!!!??

I decided to go home and look more at my vagina more to see if I can pin point the reasoning for so much irritation and burning. I came across this red thing near the opening of my vagina. I'm not too sure what it is but I also know it doesn't look normal. It doesn't realky hurt, even rubbing it doesn't hurt just feels irritated. (I didn't even notice it until I really went looking down there, so that says a lot about the pain.) If ANYONE can please let me know if you think it's worrisome (herpes) please let me know. I'm freaking out.....

i believe thats just normal, it just looks inflamed and red which can becaused by many things such as thrush, BV etc. what is your discharge like? and do you have any itching, pain when urinating etc

Hello, thank you so much for responding! I had a yeast infection over the weekend & stopped the gel because my period started (probably dumb) the doctor yesterday collected discharge to see if its vaginitis. She checked my vagina and said it just looked irritated, but im not sure if she saw that part.

Not really itchy, well not in the area where this redness is. I do have burning and burning when i urinate from it being so irritated.

that all looks normal that redness wouldnt be herpes, there are no spots / lesions or cuts. if some do show up thats a different story. how long has this all been going on for you? when did your symptoms FIRST start. did you take a yeast infection pessary, those are usually effective. have you had yeast infections before? treatment can take up to a week to work. i cant see anything sinister in these photos, just a very inflamed vulva. it is best to stop stretching poking etc at it and try and calm your anxiety. i know exactly how you feel, my anxiety goes crazy over herpes and ive rushed to the doctor 3 time with symptoms and it was always just a yeast infection. if you dont have bumps and cuts just try not to worry, im sure everything will be fine. if the itching is unbearable go back to your doctor snd see whatbshe can do

I really appreciate you for the response! ive been stressing out about this and giving myself so much unnecessary anxiety. My first symptoms start on last tuesday, i had sex it was very dry (terrible i know) i tend go dry up before my period starts. The same day i was extremely sore and knew it was because of dryness. Next few days it felt like i had a mini yeast infection coming on and my labia was super dry and irritated. I put a boric acid suppository up the vag (what i normally do if i feel yeast or bv coming on) and used neosporin to try to ease labia pain. The labia burning didn't seem to be going away by using neosporin so i just decided to see a doctor. saturday Saw the doctor she checks, says my labia is just irritated and i had a yeast infection that seems to be going away (boric acid used before going to see her). She gave me clotrimazole for yeast to put inside and for labia burning. I stopped the cream insertion only a day after because i got mu period. The labia burning was still happening, finally my anxiety kicked in and i decided to see my other doctor yestersay. She checks the vag says its irritated from all the different products and could be that i still have a yeast infection. She did a yeast infection and bv swab so im currently waiting on that. She suggested i continue using clotrimazole but for labia external use only for the next 7 days 2 times a day for burning so hopefully that helps. Then i got home and saw that redness irritation near opening of the vag. Made my anxiety kick in all over again.. (sorry this is soooo long) lol

have you been tested for any other stis like chlamydia, trich, gonorrhea etc? somefimes these can cause itching. you could also have something called vulvodynia if you'd like to google it. may i ask what is vaginitis? in reference to ur doctor doing tests for it

      Currently waiting on chlamydia and

gonorrhea test results. I don't expect it to be positive since i just got tested 4 weeks ago. I guess it just means vaginal inflammation.

yes i highly highly doubt its herpes, redness is moreso a sign of thrush. if youve had these symptoms for a week im sure something would have shown up by now, i believe its most likely just thrush or possibly BV, dont stress yourself out like the rest of us with anxiety, i know it can be awful.
