Possible heat rash for more than a week?

Had a rash for more than a week now, I first noticed it on the backs of my hands and chest now it appears to be all over, my chest, stomach, hands, back, legs. I thought it was just a heat rash but want to make sure, its not that itchy just occasionally my back gets itchy, the rash on my hands is more raised and bumpy but everywhere else its not.

    Hi Dan,

If its not an allergy, check it's not a sytemic Bacterial Infection. I had a rash on my plams ( possibly caught off a shoipping troley),that I suffered from for 8 years and just this week I found out what it was and the CURE! NO Doctor could or did diganose it, I had to search the web and saw a girl post the name of an antibiotic and another used an antibiotic cream, so I used both!

I also had to use antibacterial wash for everything and throw away all my nail files etc, that could harbour any bacteria, so it didnt re-infect!

I went to Dr after Dr and a skin specialist. I had skin craping, bloodtesting, allergy testing and ALL came up negative. The itch on my skin was eventually so bad, that my itching made it red raw (and I had to live with red raw & bleeding patches all over my palms).

It was almost impossible to work, to sleep and it was embarrasing too!

So I now post where I can, because I want to help anyone that may have picked up this problem, because it's life debilitating for sure.

So I recomened you also get a bacterial test done, just to make sure it's not the one I had, because I have found 1000's of people being effected by a similar rash to me and I am sure it's spreading around everywhere!

    Godd Luck,

    Donna

Dan; The Antibiotic I used, was Bactrim DS = ( Sulfamethoxazole & Trimethoprim) 300/160mg (10 double strength tablets), and the cream was Bactroban Ointment 15g (Muprocin 2% w/w) apply 3 times a day! ~ I got repeats for both just in case and I used 2 of the ointments and (slept with the cream on & gloves over my hands at night), so it would have a better effect.

You may just need the one lot of antibiotics, as it is new and that may kill it. Mine was in my skin and established for 8 years through my system. MY itch is gone but my palms are still healing as the thickened scared skin on them has to also heal. I just use the DERMAL brand HEEL BALM to moisturize it and help heal it now.

Also if you try DALTOZIN ointment it's an antifungal ( for things like jock itch), so rub that on and if ti goes away or has a good effect, then it could be fungus related and not Bacterial. Then use an over the counter 1 tablet (FUNGUS treatment) approx. $16.00 AU, (I tried that first too, actually I tried everything and bought every cream under the sun, so I'm ecstatic I found my cure!)

If you go to a Dr, don’t let them just give you a cortisone cream for eczema or psoriasis as that’s what they say ANY rash is, they did that to me!

You HAVE TO ASK for all of those tests when you go to them and say you WANT them ALL done now, or they will look for one thing at a time, getting money out of you every time you have to go back again (and in my case that was an awful lot).

I hope I have possible helped,

Hi. This is a year ago. Were able to find out what it was? Because it looks exactly like the rashes I have right now, also started at the back of my hands and slowly spread to my back and feet and legs. The ones itchy are those at my back. I've been prescribed with bethametasone ointment which didn't really help. I'm very worried about it now.
