Possible pre menopausal

After a slightly frustrating visit to my GP yesterday I'm after soon advice please.
For the past 5 months my menstrual cycle as at most been 19-20 days apart and flow anything from 3-9 days.
Periods started at 12 like clockwork 28 days 4/5 day flow. I'm not pregnant and I have 2 children. I do not want go on the pill that was all I was offered by my GP I had a bad experience on the pill years ago and I will not take it again.
My symptoms other than unregular cycle are thinning hair, tenderness in my breasts and quite a short fuse. I've never really suffered with pmt, also since my last period I have spotted daily sometimes heavy enough to need a pad.
My interest in sex with my husband is non existence and although his very understanding its been a few months now I do not have flushes at the moment.
Im 36 years and 2 months old and so classed as quite young for menopause, but my GP is refusing a blood test until I show more symptoms especially flushes, I'm not going to lie just to get tested as I was told to do that by a friend. My mum had gone through menopause by 44 but she went through quite quickly no build up as such cycles were still regular.
The thinning hair is most annoying but also this spotting regularly and irregular cycle is becoming a pain. So any advice of what I could do to attempt to relive some symptoms.

hi, i sympathise...my doc wouldnt do a hormone test til 18 months after last period!!! too late, anxiety was already off the scale! (and i was 47).
anythings possible with meno/peri meno. when my periods went haywire after a miscarriage i took agnus castus and within a month periods were back and regular (after none for 6 mths). look it up, see what you think. at least if you can get your regular cycle back you'll know where you are each month!

get a full thyroid panel done. at your age that might be the real issue

I would get all the tests done if you can (maybe do some research online and write them all down, take a list with you to your dr, and maybe make some demands or find a new one) just to clear your mind. It is so frustrating seeing the dr (I tried many, and specialists). Unfortunately none have been much help, but at least it ruled out anything sinister. I have been using wild yam cream which is actually really helping. I noticed a big difference after only one cycle of use and I'm just getting better and better. the one I use has chaste tree berry in it too. other than that I have cleaned up my diet, plant based, no sugar, no coffee, very little alcohol (maybe a glass of wine on a special occasion). I do my yoga, meditate, and get out in nature when I can. I try to go to bed and get up around the same time every day. I saw a therapist for a little while. Supplement with magnesium, vit d, and Zink (think there are other good ones also that I could probably add, need to do more research). I try to drink plenty of water and herbal teas. I'm not %100 But these things have definitely helped me a lot. I was in a very bad way, hospitalized twice, emergency room a few times with extreme hormone related symptoms (worked that out for myself). Oh and try to take care of your adrenals. limit stress. find what brings you bliss (for me it's yoga, even if it's restorative), and do plenty of that. I'm so sorry you are suffering, its a rough time but we are going to get through!! Lot's of lovely ladies on here with loads of brilliant advice. hope you feel better real soon.

On I forgot b12 and chlorafil. Also there is a young lady on instagram that I follow, her name is @crystalkennings. She has a passion for educating herself about the female cycle. She is extremely knowledgeable and loves to share what she has learnt. I have dmd her and she actually gets back to you. She genuinely wants to help. Maybe check her out too.
